One of Soundrop's core (and coolest) features is the ability to split revenue across multiple accounts. We have two types of accounts: Distribution accounts (the account that uploads and distributes music), and Payee-Contributor accounts (an account that receives revenue on another user's distributed content).
Payee-Contributor accounts are generated through the processing of revenue splits, and once the account is created we'll send you an invite. You'll receive a temporary password and a link to accept our terms & conditions. Once you're inside your account you'll be able to add payment information (click Payment info) and view the releases in which you're receiving revenue (click Assets).
While Payee-Contributor accounts look similar to regular distribution accounts, they don't allow for adding new content or making edits to titles that were already distributed.
If you have multiple accounts (either other contributor or distribution accounts), you may switch between them by clicking o"Switch Accounts". Payee-Contributor accounts will display "Soundrop" under the name on the Switch Accounts page.
If you don't have multiple accounts and would like to add a distribution account (for releasing your own content), you may do so by clicking "Upgrade Account". This will create a new distribution account which can be accessed by switching accounts, or logging out and logging back in.
