Hi BeatStars users! We're happy to welcome you to the Soundrop family!
To get acquainted with our services, we recommend checking out this article to see how Soundrop works. There is no need to take action at Soundrop, meaning there is no need to create your own account.
*Important: BeatStars users are migrating to Soundrop in groups based on the date you opted in.
Group 1: If you opted in to have your account transferred from BeatStars to Soundrop before May 31 2023, you were invited to access your new Soundrop account on July 1 2023.
Group 2: If you opted in to have your account transferred from BeatStars to Soundrop before September 30 2023, you were invited to access your new Soundrop account on November 1 2023.
Group 3: If you opt in to have your account transferred from BeatStars to Soundrop before February 29th 2024, you will be invited to access your new Soundrop account by April 1st 2024.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Where's my invite?
If you were a member of Group 1 or Group 2, an invite was sent to the email address associated with your BeatStars account on July 1 or November 1. Double-check that email, as well as your spam folder. Your invite email contains a temporary password and a unique link that will allow you to access your new Soundrop account.
If you are a member of Group 3, you will receive your invite on April 1, 2024
I already have a Soundrop account
If you used the same email address for your Soundrop and BeatStars account, we're putting your BeatStars releases into your existing Soundrop account. No need to do anything else, just sit back and wait!
I'm missing some of my BeatStars releases
After you receive your invite, we may still need a few weeks to put the final touches on the migration. You may see placeholder releases in your account, and this is normal! We will replace them with the real releases, cover art and metadata shortly.
When will I get paid?
Soundrop pays on the 15th of every month, or earlier if the 15th falls on a weekend or US holiday. You must have an active payout method and tax form on file, and your account balance must have reached the payment threshold you set (minimum $20) in order to be paid.
You will continue to receive payments from BeatStars for a few months due to delayed sales reporting from digital partners, and there may be some months where you receive a payment from both BeatStars and Soundrop.
Soundrop will take ownership of your music on the date that you get the invite to access your new account. From that invite date forward, Soundrop will start receiving sales reports, and any earnings will be included in your monthly Soundrop statement.

I don't see my past payments from BeatStars in my account
This is expected. Your old BeatStars account still contains your past payment records and accounting. Moving forward, any accounting or payments provided to you by Soundrop will be available from your Soundrop account.
When will the migration be finished?
Your account and releases have been fully migrated to Soundrop behind the scenes, and you can use Soundrop to distribute new music under your BeatStars referral terms. We’re just working on making your migrated release info visible to you from within your account, which is why you see “Migration in progress” on your migrated releases.
Soundrop doesn’t offer distribution to some sites that BeatStars offered, such as Soundcloud and Audible Magic. However...
All of your migrated releases are still available at every store that they were originally distributed to through BeatStars. This includes the stores that Soundrop doesn’t advertise as available for distribution. We’re working on making many of these stores available to all Soundrop users in the coming months.
