You can provide lyrics for your music through LyricFind or Musixmatch. These services provide lyrics to music and social platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube, Instagram, and others. The process depends on which service you use.
Add lyrics through Soundrop with LyricFind
Soundrop can deliver your lyrics to LyricFind, which supplies lyrics to a range of music platforms. When creating your release:
- Go to the Tracks section.
- Select the track you want to add lyrics to.
- Find Lyrics (optional) and enter the complete lyrics.
- Continue creating and submitting your release.
- Make sure LyricFind is selected for delivery under Curated Services.
Only releases with lyrics entered in Soundrop can be delivered to LyricFind.
Add lyrics to an existing release
You can also add lyrics after your release has been distributed:
- Go to My Music and select your release.
- Under Actions, select Modify.
- Select the Tracks tab.
- Open the track you want to update.
- Enter the lyrics under Lyrics (optional).
- Select Review & Save and save your changes.
- From the delivery page, select Send to more.
- Select LyricFind, then select Send.
Add or manage lyrics with Musixmatch
You can also submit and manage your lyrics directly through Musixmatch. Musixmatch provides lyrics to platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube, and Instagram.
To get started, create or verify your artist profile with Musixmatch and follow their process for adding lyrics to your tracks.
Because this process is managed directly by Musixmatch rather than Soundrop, check Musixmatch's current guidelines for lyric formatting, verification, and syncing.
How do I get synced lyrics on Instagram?
If you want your lyrics to appear with your music on Instagram, first make sure your release is delivered to Facebook/Instagram.
You can then use Musixmatch to add and sync your lyrics. Once you have a verified Musixmatch profile, follow their current instructions to add your lyrics and synchronize them with the audio.
It may take additional time for lyrics submitted through Musixmatch to appear on Instagram.
Why aren't my lyrics appearing on a music platform?
Submitting lyrics doesn't guarantee they'll appear immediately on every platform. Lyric availability and processing are managed by LyricFind, Musixmatch, and the individual music platforms they supply.
If you've submitted your lyrics correctly but they aren't appearing, check the relevant lyric provider for the current status and requirements.
