Soundrop distributes more than just traditional music. However, some genres will have different rules and be treated differently by our partners.
What is Noise Content?
Noise content refers to any non-music and non-spoken-word audio. This can include things like white noise, pink noise, nature sounds, non-voiced ASMR, ambient noise, machine noise, sound effects, and silence recordings.
Noise Content and Social Media Monetization:
Noise content is not eligible for monetization on social media, as it often creates false claims in YouTube and Meta's content recognition.
Noise Content at Spotify:
Beginning in 2024, Spotify added a minimum 2-minute track length requirement for all noise content on their platform. Content that doesn't meet the 2-minute track minimum may be removed, or may not be paid. We won't be able to appeal these decisions.
In addition to the minimum track length, all content labeled noise content by Spotify will be paid 80% less than the rate for other content.

Noise Content at Deezer:
Deezer has begun removing these tracks from their platform as of 2024.
In addition, they may choose to remove albums where every track is a different version of the same song, or any content that Deezer determines wasn't streamed within a 12-month period.
What happens if my content is removed by a platform?
If a platform decides to remove your content because it qualifies as noise content, we won't be able to appeal that decision or redeliver that content to that partner.
