After your release has been delivered to music platforms, some information can still be updated. Other changes require help from Soundrop Support, while some can't be made without taking down the release and submitting it again.
Changes you can make yourself
You can update the following information from your Soundrop account:
- release cover art and title;
- language localization for artist names, releases, and original or public domain tracks;
- additional artist names and roles for original or public domain tracks;
- track titles for original or public domain tracks;
- genre;
- ℗ and © information;
- publishing information for original songs;
- song clip start time;
- explicit lyrics designation;
- distribution territories; and
- pricing tier.
Cover song tracks aren't eligible for these updates.
If you change your cover art or release title, make sure the information shown on your artwork matches your release information. See How to match your cover art to your release for more information.
Changes Soundrop Support needs to make
Contact Soundrop Support if you need to change:
- the original release date, if your release doesn't already have a UPC/EAN; or
- an audio file to correct an audio error, such as blank space, static, or other audio corruption.
Changes that require a takedown and new submission
Some information can't be changed after your release has been delivered.
You'll need to take down the existing release and submit a new release if you need to change:
- the primary artist name;
- the track order;
- the number of tracks;
- the UPC or ISRC; or
- the audio when the change isn't correcting an audio error or significantly changes the track length.
What if my artist information is correct in Soundrop but wrong on a music platform?
If the primary artist information in your Soundrop account is already correct but appears incorrectly on a music platform, don't take down and resubmit your release. Instead, follow the process for correcting your artist information on the affected platform. See: Music is on the wrong artist page: Artist Separations
How do I send an eligible update?
If the change you want to make is eligible, see How do I update a Soundrop release after delivery? for step-by-step instructions. Updates generally take 1–4 weeks to appear across music platforms after they're sent.
