If you log into your account and you see a message that says your release is locked, it could be a few things:
- You've submitted it for distribution and it's in "pending approval"
- Your title is delivered to our music stores
- You've submitted a takedown and it's complete.
You've submitted it for distribution and it's in "Pending Approval"
If you've submitted your release for distribution, that means it's in the queue awaiting a pair of human eyes. If you need to make changes while it's awaiting review, click "My Music" and then select your release. Once you are looking at your locked release, select "Modify" from the Actions menu. Make sure to Review & Save to submit your change. Our Soundrop experts will then review the updated content to make sure it follows the music store guidelines. Your title is delivered to our music stores
If your release is in the "Delivered" or "In Progress" status, it's ready to launch at the music stores. If you need the release unlocked, there may be some things you can modify. Go here to see if what you want changed is eligible.
You've submitted a takedown and it's complete
If you've submitted a takedown through your account (meaning a release's removal from the music stores), your title will remain locked and you will not be able to make any modifications. In this case, you will need to create a new release. If you're trying to rebrand, take a look at this.
