For songs originally from a soundtrack (like scores for Video Games, Movies, TV, etc), we recommend specific formatting so that your fans can easily identify your releases!
These titles should include wording that indicates the version of the soundtrack the song is from enclosed in parentheses like; Song Title (From "Soundtrack/Game/Movie Name")
For Example:
Battle Against a True Hero (From "Undertale")
Fast Streets of Shanghai (From "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom")
If all songs on an album are from the same soundtrack, it's okay to only list this information in the Album name and not on each track title. (On singles the art and single name should show this same wording as the track.)
In regards to cover songs from video games, please be aware in order to acquire a licensing for these songs the game must be officially released in the United States. Check out our advanced licensing request tips for more information about cover songs from video games.
