Your release lists the artist(s) and their role(s) in the 01 Main Info and 02 Tracks sections for you and all your credited collaborators, with songwriters (composers) registered in 03 Publishing.
In order to be delivered to our partners, each track must have at least one of each:
- Performer role
- Production/engineering role
- Composer
- Lyricist (if the track language is anything other than instrumental)
Soundrop delivers this information for new releases upon approval, but you can also retroactively add creators to your releases that are actively being distributed. To modify a distributed release in order to add (or remove!) artist credits, please review this article for how to make changes.
Pro Tip: Cover songs are locked after clearance from most changes and must be modified by Soundrop. Click for more info

How it will look on Spotify
Primary Artist will be listed under the release name, in this example "By Chris Robley".
The Featuring Artist is listed next to the track followed by a dash "- Rob Flax"
On the artist page of the featuring artist, the release will appear under Appears On section
The "Appears On" section displays works that you are not listed as a primary artist on, but have contributed to as a performing artist or remixer. Located at the very end of a Spotify artist profile, the "Appears On" section bundles together releases where the artist is a featuring artist, remixer, vocal feature, and the inclusion of an artist's track on compilations. Note that you will only appear in the "Appears On" section if the original artist has included your artist name as a performer or remixer on the release.
For multiple primary artists on a release, each will be listed separated by a comma under the release name. Each primary artist will have the release under their own artist page. (In this example it's "ICONYK, UpsideDown, Soother".)
This does not apply to compilation releases featuring 4 or more primary artists. These releases must be listed "Various Artists" in the album-level metadata and their tracks will not qualify for Spotify for Artists pitching.
