If your release doesn't pass Soundrop's inspection, we'll let you know what needs to be corrected before we can approve it.
You'll need to fix each issue and resubmit the release for inspection.
How do I see what needs to be fixed?
You can access the inspection issues from the email Soundrop sends you or from your Soundrop account.
From your Soundrop account:
- Sign in to your Soundrop account.
- Go to My Music and select the affected release.
- Select Inspection failed: view issues.
- Review the issues identified during inspection.
Each issue will explain what needs to be corrected before your release can be approved.
How do I make the changes?
After reviewing the inspection issues:
- Select Fix issue(s) to open your release for editing.
- Make the requested changes.
- Make sure you've addressed all of the issues identified during inspection.
- Continue to Review & Save.
- Review your release and select Save.
Saving your changes does not automatically resubmit the release for inspection.
How do I resubmit my release?
- After you've saved your changes, select All issues fixed – resubmit release
- Your release will then return to Soundrop's inspection queue for review.
- You can check its current status from My Music.
For information about inspection and processing times, see How long does release approval and distribution take?
What if I don't understand the inspection issue?
The message you received will identify the issue that needs to be corrected.
Depending on the issue, these articles may help:
- How to match your cover art to your release
- What should I enter in the Title Version field?
- What audio files can I upload to Soundrop?
- Accepted Cover Art
