If you're submitting a song originally from a movie, TV show, video game, or other soundtrack, include the name of the original source in the title. This helps listeners identify which soundtrack your version is based on.
How to format the track title
Add the original source after the song title using this format: Song Title (From "Soundtrack, Movie, TV Show, or Video Game Name")
For example:
- Battle Against a True Hero (From "Undertale")
- Fast Streets of Shanghai (From "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom")
What if the whole release is from the same soundtrack?
If every track on an album is from the same soundtrack, you can include the soundtrack information in the release title instead of repeating it in every track title. For a single, the release title and track title should use the same soundtrack formatting.
What if I'm recording a cover song from a soundtrack?
If you're recording a cover of music from a movie, TV show, video game, or other soundtrack, the composition must meet Soundrop's cover song licensing requirements. For video game music, the game must have been officially released in the United States for Soundrop to obtain a cover song license.
